So I was playing The Lion Tamer in “The Apple Tree” AND working full time. Â I get home and decide that I was too tired to give a good show tonight.
I decided to take a nap. Â A NAAAAP!
So in my sleepy haze, I THOUGHT I heard the phone ringing. Â Did I hear someone banging ferociously and ringing the doorbell?
ALL OF THE ABOVE!
The SM was calling incessantly. Â The ASM was AT. My. DOOR! Â I had SLEPT through call AND, eventually, the show! Â So the stage manager had to go on in my place slinging the book!!!!!!! Â AAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!! Â HORRIFYING! Â I’ll never work 7 to 3 shifts while performing… ever again.
