Submission Terms

By submitting material to My Whole Life Was In That Show (“the Project”), you confirm that you have the right to submit the material and grant the Project permission to use it as described below.

1. Ownership of your submission
You retain ownership of the original material you submit.

2. License to the Project
By submitting your story, you grant the Project a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, edit, shorten, rearrange, adapt, dramatize, publish, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, record and otherwise use your submission, in whole or in part, in connection with My Whole Life Was In That Show and related works.

This includes the right to incorporate all or portions of your submission into scripts, monologues, theatrical productions, recordings, publications, websites, promotional materials and other works or media now known or later developed.

3. Changes and adaptations
You understand that your submission may be edited, shortened, combined with other material, dramatized, rearranged or otherwise adapted. Names, identifying details, locations, chronology and other elements may be changed.

4. No guarantee of use
Submitting a story does not guarantee that it will be published, performed, adapted or otherwise used.

5. No compensation
Unless the Project separately agrees otherwise in writing, you will not receive payment, royalties or other compensation for the submission or for works that incorporate or are derived from it.

6. Attribution and anonymity
You may indicate whether you wish to remain anonymous, allow the Project to know your identity while keeping it private publicly, or permit the Project to identify you publicly. The Project may nevertheless choose not to provide attribution.

7. Other people mentioned in your story
You understand that the Project may edit or remove names and identifying information relating to other people mentioned in your submission.

8. Permission to submit
You represent that, to the best of your knowledge, the material you submit is your own or that you otherwise have the right to submit it and grant the permissions described above.

9. Commercial use
You understand that the Project and works derived from it may be commercially produced, published, performed, distributed, licensed or otherwise exploited.

10. Acceptance
By checking the Submission Agreement box and submitting your story, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Submission Terms.
